This unique experience begins with a scenic tour along the Cozumel coast, onboard our vessel Ana that will take our guests to the Submarine Atlantis XII, and then dive to a depth of up to, at least, 100 feet. This adventure will show you a spectacular natural scenery of the Chankanaab reef, which is part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System, one of the largest living structures on the planet, and which is home to fish, lobsters, rays, sharks, and turtles, which can be admired depending on it's from the season. It will also take you to the famous Cozumel’s Wall, with a vertical drop of 2000 feet which delimits the Island. The new submarine route explores the biggest dive wreck in the area, the Felipe Xicotencatl, a 154 feet longship that was sold to the Mexican Navy. Later was sank to enhance the life of this Protected Natural Area and preserve it for future generations. Nowadays, it is home of mainly fish, sponges, and soft corals. An experienced crew will relate to you an interesting narration of the area and its diversity of underwater life, providing relevant information during your tour. The Submarine Atlantis XII is the only one of its kind in Mexico; it is powered by batteries, which helps minimize its ecological footprint, and its passenger cabin is air-conditioned and maintains the same pressure as atmospheric at the surface.

Centuries-old white stone roads and paths connect many of the buildings. Save, learn, help, protect, enjoy and contribute. This tour is for anyone who wants to leave Cozumel a little better than how they found it. You'll be led by the biologist’s team member who spearheads the Save the Endangered Sea Turtle Program. This is a hand’s on tour, where you'll actually help save the sea turtles. This is a groundbreaking, conservation system that has been adopted by other state wide programs with the help of local volunteers. Cozumel boasts the most sea turtle nests per kilometer than any other area in Mexico by a 3 to 1 ratio. The increased volume of fertile ground has as much to do with the island’s history as it does with this program, that had only been open to the local public and is now available to a select few visitors so they, too, can witness this marvel of nature.
There are several aspects to turtle protection and conservation and you'll be able to participate in the “save a turtle” portion. Every evening the turtles hatch and make their way to the sea. This is a natural process, but in the frenzy of the nest only about 80% of the hatched turtles actually have the stamina and energy to climb out. You'll help rescue those, that did not make it out the previous evening, by digging them out and they will be kept until they are mature enough to be released. This is extremely heartwarming and satisfying, as you'll be directly involved in saving the life of the little turtle and giving it another chance.

As you meander about, you will see the Temple of Frescoes, which was an observatory used to track the sun’s movements. The frescoes inside the temple represent various gods and supernatural serpents. The building was once painted red and you can still see remnants of that hue. The carving over the doorway of the adjacent Temple of the Descending God is worth a look, as well.
Continuing on, you will soon arrive at Xel-Ha, which means “where the water is born” in the Mayan language. Cozumel's fabulous reef system has been a draw for scuba divers and snorkellers since the 50's when Jacque Cousteau brought international attention to this lush underwater world through a series of documentaries.
Board your tour boat for the short ride out to the first site. En route, your certified PADI divemaster will provide snorkelling equipment, including a mask, snorkel, fins and a snorkelling vest. A safety briefing will be given and instruction for the beginners. Upon arrival at the first site, your divemaster will guide you through this underwater playground pointing out the unique ocean life.
As a snorkeller, you may see a variety of coral and plant species and an amazing variety of fish life. Schools of yellow and black striped sergeant majors flit through coral. Angel fish, groupers and rainbow-coloured parrot fish glide lazily among the sea fans and whips.
Re-board your boat for the short ride to the second snorkelling site, an off-shore reef that has drawn to it a myriad of tropical marine life. All too soon, it is time to re-board your boat for the return ride to the pier and your awaiting ship.
Please note: This tour involves moderate to extensive activity depending upon local currents. Guests must be able to swim and in good physical condition to participate in this tour. Guests must be physically capable of pulling themselves out of the water by way of a boarding ladder. Participants are required to sign a waiver. Water and soft drinks are included, alcoholic beverages are available for sell after the snorkeling activities have ended and guests must be 21 years of age to be served alcohol. We recommend guests wear a swimsuit under a cover-up, sun protection and bring a towel from the ship.
Discover the undersea beauty of Cozumel in style during this VIP, half-day yachting and snorkelling excursion.

Wichtige Information
