Etwa 30 Minuten Transfer per Schneellboot ab Malé. Die Insel Thulusdhoo liegt nur 28 km nördlich von Malé. Es ist die Hauptstadt des Kaafu-Atolls. Auf der Insel leben etwa 1.400 Menschen. Die Fläche von Thulusdhoo beträgt 700 x 400 Meter. Der Industriesektor auf der Insel ist sehr vielfältig, er umfasst Fabriken zum Trocknen von Thunfisch und Seegurken und Werkstätten für den Bau von Booten. Die Hauptattraktion der Insel ist die in den 80er Jahren gebaute einzige Anlage der Welt der Coca-Cola Company, die entsalztes Meerwasser verwendet. Aus diesem Grund wird die Insel auch "Coke’s Island" genannt. Thulusdhoo hat einen kleinen, von Steinblöcken umfassten Strand der für Besucher reserviert ist. Mit etwas Glück begegnen Ihnen Delfine, die in der Nähe der Insel schwimmen. Bei Ankunft unternehmen Sie einen Rundgang, nehmen einen Mittagssnack in einem lokalen Restaurant ein und genießen anschließend gut 3 Std. den Strand.

Mit angenehmen Temperaturen von durchschnittlich 27 °C und ganzjährig ruhigem Wasser an den meisten Stellen sind die Malediven ein perfekter Ort zum Schnorcheln. This underwater tour into the mysterious depths of the Indian Ocean, aboard the submarine, is a uniquely unforgettable experience.
Surgeon Fish, Coral Reef, Marine Life, Manta Rays, Reef Sharks, Fish-Feeding System
As the pilot begins the descent, you can see the depths of the ocean and a school of surgeon fish greeting the submarine through large, acrylic viewing-ports in front of each seat. Upon reaching a depth of approximately 100 feet (about 30.5 metres), see a reef with diverse species of coral and marine life. Depending upon the time of the day, you may also see manta rays and reef sharks swirling around this reef. The submarine is equipped with a fish-feeding system to attract these creatures closer to your viewing ports. Whilst cruising underwater, the submarine moves slowly to avoid damaging the reef or scaring away the marine life. After the submarine resurfaces, embark your local boat and return to the jetty, then commence the short ride back to the ship via ship’s tender.
