Buderim Ginger Factory, Free Time, Morning Tea

Board your coach and make your way to the famous Buderim Ginger Factory. Wander around the ginger shop offering a large selection of ginger products including Buderim Ginger Beer and enjoy a morning tea flavoured with ginger. If ginger doesn't spark your interest, you can also head across the road to Nutworks for free tastings of Macadamia and chocolate.

Exclusive Noosa River Cruise

Next, continue to the coastal township of Noosa where you will board the Noosa River ferry and head down the Noosa River into the heart of the town. Sit back and relax as your friendly captain provides commentary on the history, development and culture of this region.

Hastings Street & Free Time

After the ferry ride enjoy some free time to explore Hastings Street, a popular spot with a great atmosphere and a huge range or alfresco cafes, restaurants and boutiques lining the street opposite some of the most spectacular beaches the region has to offer. Lunch will be at your own expense.

At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your coach for approximately one hour return drive back to the pier.

Enjoy one hour guided rainforest walk in the area known as the natural jewel of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.

Mary Cairncross Reserve

Depart the pier for an approximately one hour scenic drive from the coast to the Mary Cairncross Reserve. The Reserve is a living museum of diverse plant and animal life and it comprises of 55 hectares of subtropical rainforest overlooking the heritage listed Glass House Mountains landscape.

Guided Walk

Your local guide will take you on an approximate one-hour guided walk through the reserve. As you walk through the rainforest, take in the sound of the wildlife, try to spot and hear as many of the 141 bird species as you can. You will see 700-year-old gum trees, large fig-trees, and Red Cedar make sure to watch your step as there are a lot of wallabies that dart across the track.

Interactive Discovery Centre

Next, head to the interactive Discovery Centre where you can learn even more about this diverse eco-system and its native flora and fauna. Offering the most spectacular views, the Discovery Centre features an elevated viewing platform and boardwalk and the Rainforest Education Centre with a combination of traditional interactive displays, multi-sensory experiences and exhibits.

Free Time, Glass House Mountains Views, Lunch

Enjoy some free time to stroll around the viewing platform for spectacular views of the Glass House Mountains which were formed 25-27 million years ago from once an active volcano. These unique mountains are a cluster of thirteen hills that rise abruptly from the coastal plain on the Sunshine Coast. The highest hill is Mount Beerwah at 556 metres above sea level, but the most identifiable of all the hills is Mount Tibrogargan which from certain angles bears a resemblance to a face staring east towards the ocean. At the conclusion of your visit, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before your return drive back to the pier.

Australia Zoo - Home of The Crocodile Hunter and His Family

Depart the pier for approximately 40-minute drive to the iconic Australia Zoo - the ultimate wildlife adventure and conservation destination. The founder was Steve Irwin, nicknamed "The Crocodile Hunter", an Australian zookeeper, television personality, wildlife expert, environmentalist and conservationist. The Zoo is now operated by his wife, Terri Irwin, and the passionate Irwin family. Terri is an American-Australian naturalist, conservationist, author, and the owner of Australia Zoo. A native Oregonian from the United States, she began an independent animal rehabilitation centre for injured predator mammals at age 22 while working for her family's trucking business. You will hear all about the conservation efforts of the onsite wildlife warrior team.
