Coffin Bay National Park

Depart the pier for the approximately one hour drive to the Coffin Bay National Park. Experience the extreme diversity of the National Park with its ever-changing landscapes of exposed surf beaches and sheltered seas, with an abundance of wildlife and native flora. Visit a scenic lookout, and stroll the wooden boardwalk to appreciate the panoramic views of the National Park. From the cliff top, you will view Almonta - one of the world's most pristine beaches. It is often filled with migratory sea birds.


Coffin Bay, Oyster Shead, Fresh Oyster Tasting

After the adventure of the National Park, continue to Coffin Bay where we will have an informative and interesting Oyster Tour in a processing facility. Learn about the history of the Coffin Bay Oysters and why they grow so well in these waters. Then it is time for a mouth-watering fresh tasting.


A brief stop will be made at Wintershill Lookout for a photo opportunity of Port Lincoln before returning to the pier.

Enjoy a half-day outing to the Ayre Peninsula, Farm Beach and Dutton Bay Heritage listed Woolshed Museum where you will be treated to a Morning Tea.


Farm Beach, Gallipoli Beach War Memorial

Embark your coach and travel 55 kilometers west of Port Lincoln through farming lands until you reach Farm Beach. Home of the King George Whiting and a location of the 1980s movie Gallipoli starring Mel Gibson, here you can see how locals launch their boats with tractors. Take a short walk on the beach and reach Gallipoli Beach War Memorial before you continue to Dutton Bay Heritage listed Woolshed Museum for a guided tour.


Dutton Bay Woolshed Museum, Morning Tea, Wintershill Lookout, Panoramic Views

This is the only heritage listed Woolshed Museum with its own Jetty in Australia. Following the tour a lovely Duttonshear Tea awaits, and after a chance to walk off your morning tea with a stroll on the Dutton Bay jetty, before making our way back to Wintershill lookout for a panoramic view of Port Lincoln and your ship.


The tour concludes back at the pier.

Port Lincoln Tour

Get up close and personal with Port Lincoln. With a population of around 14,000, Port Lincoln is a major commercial centre for the Eyre Peninsula and has earned its reputation as the "Seafood Capital of Australia”. The town overlooks the pretty Boston Bay and is surrounded by long stretches of rugged coastline and National parks packed full of walking trails and lookouts along with a wide variety of native Australian flora and fauna. Discover the highlights of Port Lincoln, view the largest commercial fishing fleet in the Southern Hemisphere and hear stories about the Tuna Barons. 

Winter's Hill Lookout

Next, proceed to Winter's Hill Lookout, which offers spectacular panoramic views over Port Lincoln, Boston Island and Thistle Island. Your tour of Port Lincoln concludes back at the pier.

Port Lincoln

Depart the pier for a scenic, approximately 50-minute drive through Port Lincoln. Starting out at the marina you'll view the largest commercial fishing fleet in Australia and hear all about the fishing practises of the prawn and tuna fleets. Travel through the fish processing area of Port Lincoln before heading up to Wintershill lookout for stunning 360 degree panoramic views and a great photo opportunity. You may be able to spot the tuna and kingfish rings out in the bay.

Boston Bay Winery

Continue along the North Shore, lined with luxury real estate, on the way to the award winning Boston Bay winery. Your host at the winery, Tony Ford, is the owner and recognised seafood chef of this exceptional establishment. Not only will he keep you entertained but, he will also cook up some seafood dishes (local and fresh) to enjoy small tastings of while sipping on different Boston Bay winery vintages. Sit back and enjoy the tastes of Port Lincoln coupled with the breath-taking vista of blue seas.

At the conclusion of your food and wine tasting excursion, re-board your coach and commence the approximately 30-minute drive back to the pier.

Axel Stenross Maritime Museum

Depart the pier for a brief transfer to your first stop - Axel Stenross Maritime Museum - and gain an excellent insight to the shipping, fishing and boating history of the region. The museum is housed in a classic 'bloke's shed' and is filled with exhibits and artifacts from Port Lincoln's maritime past. Included is the history of boat building by Axel Stenross and his original blacksmiths shop along with his living quarters. Your visit to the museum includes a short video presentation followed by a guided tour by one of the passionate museum volunteers.


The Fresh Fish Place, Guided Tour, Filleting Demonstration, Seafood Tasting, Fish and Chips

Continue to the Fresh Fish Place where you will see the vast majority of seafood on sale for the public. Witness a filleting demonstration on your tour of the processing area followed by a tasting of their smoked and pickled seafood followed by it's the best Fish and Chips Port Lincoln has to offer.


Port Lincoln Marina

Next, rejoin your coach and venture down to the marina - home of the largest commercial fishing fleet in the southern hemisphere, including Tuna Fleet and the impressive Spencer Gulf Prawn Fleet. Learn about the origins of the Port Lincoln tuna industry which has made many self-made millionaires. In fact, Port Lincoln was once known as having the most millionaires per capita in Australia.

Glenforest Tourist Park, Iconic Australian Wildlife

Continue to Glenforest Tourist Park which is nestled amongst towering Red Gums and surrounded by the Vines of Lincoln Estate Winery. Following your welcome and orientation, enjoy some free time during which you can hand feed kangaroos and see many native animals including dingoes, wombats and emus. This is your chance to get up close to some of Australia's iconic wildlife or interact with the birds in the walk through aviary. The park also has camels, horses, goats and other domestic animals.


Lincoln Estate Wines, Wine & Cheese Tasting

Following you wildlife encounter, you will be treated to a wine & cheese tasting at Lincoln Estate Wines, a family owned and operated company. Their varieties include Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz.
