Depart the pier for a scenic, approximately 30-minute sightseeing drive past the exquisite Botanical Garden en route to the Crystal Caves, an amazing natural grotto featuring stalactites and stalagmites, and floodlit for your viewing pleasure. The Crystal Caves are so named due to the crystal-clear water that flows through the cave and forms a lake. Its azure-blue water is so clear that you can actually see the cave's floor, which is approximately 55 feet (about 17 metres) below the surface. This intriguing and fascinating attraction was actually discovered by accident, when two local boys who were searching for a lost ball stumbled across the cave in 1907.
Guided Cave Tour, Wooden Pontoon, Stalactites and Stalagmites, Skylight
After descending 81 steps to the floor of the cave, proceed on-foot along a wooden pontoon that has been constructed over the waters of the lake. Be sure to have your guide point out the original entrance from which the boys lowered themselves into the cave, which appears as a small skylight in the cave's roof.

Depart the pier for the scenic drive through the Botanical Gardens. Originally opened in 1898 the Bermuda Botanical Gardens feature 36 acres of trees, flowers and shrubs. John Lennon visited the gardens in 1980 and named his subsequent album Double Fantasy after a flower he spotted here.
Scenic Island Drive
Next, learn more about the flora, fauna and history of the island during a scenic, approximately 1.5-hour sightseeing drive that also explores some of the oldest and most renowned landmarks in Bermuda. Sights to be seen include the early-17th-century Heydon Trust Chapel, Horseshoe Beach, the picturesque vistas and ramparts at Fort Scaur and Somerset Bridge, the world's smallest drawbridge.
Gibbs Hill Lighthouse
Constructed in 1844 the Gibbs Hill Lighthouse is the oldest cast iron lighthouse in the world. The hill on which the lighthouse stands is 245 feet high while the lighthouse itself measures 117 feet. A 1,000 watt bulb sits inside a lens revolving in a trough of 1,200 pounds of mercury. The light beam it emits can be seen by ships 40 miles away and from a distance of 120 miles by a plane flying at 10,000 feet.

At the conclusion of your sunset catamaran cruise, return to the pier, disembark the vessel and return to your ship on-foot.
Please note: This tour involves a minimal amount of walking for approximately 100 yards (about 91.4 metres), with three steps to negotiate to embark/disembark the catamaran. This tour is suitable for guests with limited mobility, but is not wheelchair-accessible. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing with boat shoes, and bring sun protection and a sweater or light jacket from the ship. Guests must be at least 13 years old to participate on this tour. Guests must be at least 21 years old to be served alcoholic beverages.
