Sie fahren zunächst nach Dinan mit beeindruckender mittelalterlicher Stadtmauer. Während des einstündigen geführten Rundgangs spazieren Sie durch die Altstadt und sehen die typischen Fachwerkhäuser aus dem 14. bis 18. Jh., als die Tuch- und Leinenindustrie der Stadt ihren Wohlstand eingebracht hat. Sie gehen durch die Rue de l'Horloge, eine der malerischsten Straßen von Dinan mit dem im 15. Jh. erbauten Uhrturm. Anschließend haben Sie noch ein wenig Freizeit für individuelle Erkundungen. Während der Rückfahrt nach Saint Malo passieren Sie das beeindruckende Gezeitenkraftwerk an der Rance-Mündung, das 1967 in Betrieb genommen wurde. In Saint-Malo unternehmen Sie einen weiteren einstündigen Rundgang. Sie sehen die berühmte (begehbare) Stadtmauer und erfahren Wissenswertes über ihre Geschichte, genießen malerische Aussichten auf die bretonische Küste mit ihren Felseninseln und spazieren entlang typischer Granithäuser mit ihren hohen Dächern und monumentalen Schornsteinen. Auf direktem Weg fahren Sie etwa 1 Stunde nach Rennes, der berühmten Hauptstadt der Bretagne. Der Name leitet sich von einem keltischen Stamm namens "Riedones" ab. Der heutige Standort am Zusammenfluss von Ille und Vilaine war der politische und religiöse Sitz des Stammes, der 57 v.Chr. von Julius Cäsar erobert und damit romanisiert wurde. Die Hauptentwicklung der Stadt begann, als die Bretonen 851 n.Chr. ihre Unabhängigkeit erklärten. Während des Zweiten Weltkrieges schwer beschädigt, begann ihr beeindruckender Wiederaufbau in den fünfziger Jahren. Während Ihres rund 1,5-stündigen Rundgangs sehen Sie die Sehenswürdigkeiten des historischen Viertels: die St. Peters-Kathedrale (im Jahre 1844 nach 57 Jahren Bauzeit beendet), die Porte Mordelaise (einst Hauptzugang der Stadt), den Place des Lices (mit Resten der alten Stadtmauer und Befestigungen), die von restaurierten Renaissance-Häusern gesäumten Straßen Rue de la Psalette und Rue du Chapitre, den Place de la Mairie mit Rathaus sowie das Gerichts-/Parlamentsgebäude. Nach dem Rundgang haben Sie etwa 1,5 Stunden Zeit zur freien Verfügung für individuelle Unternehmungen und einen Bummel durch die Stadt.

Knapp 1,5-stündiger Transfer entlang der Küstenstraße zum Mont Saint Michel. Ein Shuttle-Service bringt Sie über die Stegbrücke zum vielbesuchten Wallfahrtsort, der seit 1979 zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe zählt. Entdecken Sie in Ihrem eigenen Tempo eine der meistbesuchten Sehenswürdigkeiten Frankreichs. Erkunden Sie die mittelalterliche Stadt, die Abtei, die Kirche oder das Kloster (Eintrittsgelder auf eigene Kosten, mit Warteschlangen ist zu rechnen). Unternehmen Sie einen Spaziergang entlang der Stadtmauer, mit schönen Ausblicken auf die Bucht und die Abteigärten oder kaufen Sie Souvenirs und lokale Spezialitäten. Zum im Bus vereinbarten Zeitpunkt treffen Sie sich wieder auf dem Busparkplatz, für den gemeinsamen Rücktransfer zum Schiff.

Gut einstündige Busfahrt in Richtung Mont Saint Michel, einem der meistbesuchten Sehenswürdigkeiten Frankreichs. Das mittelalterliche Denkmal wurde an der Stelle einer kleinen Kapelle im 11.-16. Jh. errichtet und thront auf einer felsigen Insel. Bis zum 19. Jh. konnten Besucher die Insel nur bei Ebbe über die Wattflächen erreichen. 1879 wurde zwischen Insel und Festland ein fester Damm erbaut. Dies hatte jedoch erheblichen Einfluss auf das ökologische Gleichgewicht der Meereswelt und führte zur Verschmutzung beidseits des Damms und zu Schäden der empfindlichen Salzwiesen. Im Jahr 2012 wurde daher mit dem Bau einer Brücke begonnen, die heute dazu beiträgt das natürliche Ökosystem wieder herzustellen. Während einer Kaffeepause mit Gebäck können Sie die Insel aus der Distanz sehen. Anschließend Weiterfahrt entlang der Küstenstraße nach Cancale, die "Austernhauptstadt" der Bretagne. Man nimmt an, dass der exzellente Geschmack der hier gezüchteten Austern der starken Gezeitenzone zu verdanken ist. Hier haben Sie ein wenig Zeit zur freien Verfügung für individuelle Unternehmungen. Danach Rückfahrt zum Schiff.
Bitte beachten: Kaffee/Teepause in einem Hotel in einiger Entfernung zur Abtei. Der Bus kann nicht näher heranfahren, da die Parkplätze nur für Besucher der Abtei freigegeben sind. Es erfolgt kein Shuttle auf die Insel bzw. keine Besichtigung der Abtei.

Dinan
Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 45-minute drive to the beautifully-preserved walled town of Dinan. Upon arrival at the coach parking area, begin your guided walking tour of the ramparts, towers and timbered houses in this medieval setting. Of special note are the buildings around the Place des Merciers and Old Clock Tower. A short visit is made to the 12th-century Basilica Saint Sauveur, which contains a headstone with the heart of Bertrand de Guesclin, a locally-revered 14th-century knight, who fought battles to expel the English from France. Afterward, some free time is made available to explore your surroundings before returning to the coach parking area.
Dinard
Next, re-board your coach for a delightful drive along the Rance River en route to Dinard and the Breton Riviera. Located on the Rance Estuary, the elegant town of Dinard displays the charm of the Belle Epoque with its unique 'Marine' architectural style. A panoramic drive offers splendid views of impressive clifftop villas. From here, proceed to Casino Beach for a photo stop where along the way you will view an amazing variety of Mediterranean vegetation.
Re-board your coach and commence the approximately 30-minute drive back to the pier.

Discover the unique methods utilised in the farming and processing of oysters during this half-day tour and tasting at a Cancale oyster farm. The town has built a reputation due to the oyster beds that are along the coast and around the harbour at Cancale and is best known as being the oyster capital of Brittany. Cancale oysters have been famous for at least 2000 years since the days when they were eaten by the soldiers of Julius Caesar and later when they were delivered daily to Louis XIV.
Scenic Drive to Cancale
Depart the pier for the scenic, approximate 45-minute drive to Cancale via the coastal road. This picturesque fishing village is renowned for its oyster beds, or 'banc d'huîtres', where gardeners farm thousands of oysters.
Oyster Farm Tour and Tasting
During your guided visit to the Marine Farm, or 'Ferme Marine', discover everything about oysters, including how they are farmed, washed, conditioned and processed for consumption. Afterward, stop by the onsite shell museum before proceeding for a wine-and-oyster-tasting.
At the conclusion of your tour and tasting, re-board your coach and commence the approximate 30-minute drive back to the pier.

Experience the wild and windswept area around the Cap Fréhel Peninsula set 230 feet (70 metres) high above pink sandstone cliffs. Walk a beautiful path of spectacular heathland offering some of the most breath-taking scenery along the amazing Brittany coastline. Follow the path through an extraordinary natural landscape up to the lighthouses north at Cape Fréhel, where on a clear day the view from the top reaches all the way to the Norman peninsula Le Manche.
Cape Fréhel
Depart the pier for Cape Fréhel located in Côtes-d'Armor, northern Brittany, approximately one hour drive away. On arrival take a guided walking tour along the head of the Cap to explore the two lighthouses. The taller one measuring 98ft (30m) high has a calorie-burning 145 steps and was built in 1950; its beam can reach up to 68 miles (110km). The smaller one, no longer in use, was constructed in 1685 by the renowned architect-engineer Simon Garangeau who worked for Vauban, the legendary military engineer of Louis XIV, who fortified many strategic points around the French coast.
Enjoy some free time to admire the wide variety of heather and gorse species and the landscape of colours on the most beautiful Cap in Brittany or look for nesting seabirds in the neighbouring small island.

Built between the 11th and 16th centuries, the abbey is a technical and artistic tour de force, having had to adapt to the problems posed by this unique natural site.
Drive to Mont St. Michel
Depart the pier for a direct drive, approximate one-hour drive to Mont St. Michel, a monument often regarded as the 'Marvel of the Western World'. On the approach, marvel at the spectacular granite mount with its Abbey soaring high above the sea. Upon arrival at the coach parking area, precede on-foot to the shuttle bus, and then board the bus for the transfer to the village entrance.

Around the base of the mount are the ancient ramparts and a jumble of houses lining the narrow streets. Your guide leads you up the cobbled street and 365 steps to access the famous Abbey. En route, admire the diverse architecture of Mont St. Michel, which was founded in the 10th century as the result of a dream vision; the Abbey was added three centuries later. At its very top gleams the gilded statue of Saint Michel. Upon entering the Abbey, walk up another 197 steps and begin your guided tour of its interior.
Lunch and Free Time
After descending back down to the village, some free time is made available for lunch and an opportunity to explore your surroundings at your leisure.
At the conclusion of your excursion to Mont St. Michel, re-join your guide and walk back to the shuttle, then begin the approximate 1-hour drive from the coach parking area back to the pier in St. Malo.

After an approximately 45 minute drive, enjoy a guided visit of Cancale, take a walk with your guide along “La Houle”, an historical seamen neighbourhood to understand the importance of its oysters and other shellfishes.
Roellinger’s estate “La Maison du Voyageur”
End your guided tour around the Roellinger’s estate “La Maison du Voyageur”, a Malouine house from the 17th century who has seen Olivier Roellinger grew up both personally and professionally. Have a glimpse of the Maison du Voyageur that now serves as a private spices laboratory before stepping into the “Epices Roellinger” first shop, opened twenty years ago. There, you will have some time to discover an important variety of spices and purchase some of the famous spices’ associations.
Oyster Farm “La Ferme Marine”
You will then be driving to the oyster farm “La Ferme Marine”. During your guided visit, discover everything about oysters, including how they are farmed, washed, conditioned and processed for consumption. Afterward, stop by the onsite shell museum before proceeding for a champagne-and-oyster-tasting. You will especially have the chance to try the Tsarskaya Oyster, a superior quality oyster exclusivily matured in Cancale from 3 to 6 months on the ocean front near the Mont Saint Michel and its bay, knowed for its high tides ideal for the cultivation of oysters. Its name comes from the times when Russian Tsars used to import these special oysters, from Cancale till Russia to be delivered to the Court throughout the 19th century, making this oyster’s renown.
Gourmet Lunch at Le Bistrot de Cancale
After your visits, continue to immerse yourself in the tastes of Cancale and combine the different flavours of the day in your plate, with a lunch of one of the Bricourt houses: Le Bistrot de Cancale. Opened in 2022 by Hugo, Olivier Roellinger’s son, and his wife, this restaurant aims to share a traditionnal seaside cuisine, imbued of the Roellinger expertise and culinary signature. Depart the pier for a scenic, guided walking tour of Saint Malo. As you stroll around the quaint, narrow streets of the Old City, your guide points out sites of historical interest.
