Kurze Fahrt vom Schiff zum "Diamond Botanical Garden". Der Botanische Garten wurde 1983 mit einer Vielfalt an tropischen Blumen und Pflanzen angelegt. Auf dem Gelände gibt es die unterirdischen Sulphur Springs ("Schwefelquellen"), die im weiteren Verlauf die farbenprächtigen Diamond Falls ("Diamantwasserfälle") bilden. Die leuchtenden Farben werden durch den reichen Mineralgehalt des Wassers erzeugt. Während des einstündigen Spaziergangs genießen Sie die Schönheit des Gartens. Danach fahren Sie zu den Schwefelquellen, die von einer Aussichtsplattform aus besichtigt werden können. Ihr Quellwasser wird bis zu 170°C heiß und ist u.a. reich an Kupfer, Eisenoxid, Calciumoxid und Kohlenstoff. Danach kurze Weiterfahrt zum Morne Coubaril Estate. Auf dieser Plantage werden u.a. Kakao und Kaffee angebaut. Sie erfahren mehr über den Fermentationsprozess der Kakaobohne, das Trocknen und Polieren. Darüber hinaus sehen Sie eine Zuckerrohrmühle, die noch traditionell mit Maultieren betrieben wird. Gelegenheit für eine kleine Verkostung. Bevor Sie wieder zum Schiff zurückkehren, genießen Sie von einem Aussichtspunkt den Blick über Stadt und Umgebung.

Mit dem Katamaran fahren Sie die Westküste von St. Lucia entlang. Sie passieren die charmanten Fischerdörfer Canaries und Anse la Raye und legen einen Zwischenstopp in der malerischen Marigot Bay ein, eine der schönsten Buchten der Karibik. Weiterfahrt zum Hafen von Castries mit kleiner Rundfahrt. Es geht zur Bucht von Anse Cochon mit Gelegenheit zum Schwimmen. Danach Rückfahrt nach Soufrière. Während dieser Tour genießen Sie schöne Ausblicke auf die Stadt, die Pitons (Gros und Petit Piton), die Sulphur Springs ("Schwefelquellen") und den Regenwald. Sie fahren zum Plas Kassav, der einzigen Bäckerei auf der Insel für das traditionelle Maniok (Kassav) Brot. Der nächste Halt ist im Fischerdorf Anse La Raye mit seinen hölzernen farbenfrohen Fischerbooten und weiterhin besuchen Sie die größte Bananenplantage der Insel (Roseau Banana Plantation). Sie passieren die Marigot Bay, die als eine der schönsten Buchten der Karibik gilt, und genießen von einem Aussichtspunkt den herrlichen Blick. Mit einer Fähre setzen Sie zum Doolittle's Restaurant über, das direkt am Wasser gelegen ist. Hier nehmen Sie Ihr Mittagessen ein. Danach geht es wieder zurück nach Soufrière. Depart the pier for the short drive to the Diamond Botanical Gardens, once a popular spot for Napoleon's wife, Josephine. En route, pass through the quaint town of Soufrière, and by the town square and Cathedral. Upon arrival at the Botanical Gardens, take a guided walking tour. Along the way, marvel at the tropical plants carefully arranged along the pathway, and enjoy a view of the waterfall to observe how the mineral water flows into a stream.
Toraille Waterfall, Cascading Falls, Cold Water Pool, Petit Piton, Hummingbird Beach, Free Time
Next, re-board your coach and head to the idyllic Toraille Waterfall, nestled amidst tropical surroundings. Upon arrival, take an inviting dip in the natural, cold water pool under the cascading falls. Leaving the Toraille Waterfall, your journey continues with a short drive to Hummingbird Beach, with Petit Piton as your backdrop. During your visit, you can take a refreshing dip in the inviting blue waters of the Caribbean Sea, and/or simply relax on the sand and soak up the tropical sun. Souvenirs, snacks and beverages are available at your own expense. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board your mini-bus and commence the short drive back to the pier.
Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 370 yards (about 338 metres), at times over uneven, natural and sandy surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the mini-bus and Toraille Waterfall, four-six steps leading to the Diamond Falls, and four-six steps to enter the waterfall pool. Walking at Hummingbird Beach is at the discretion of each guest. Board your air-conditioned bus for a scenic drive through the town of Soufriere and small communities before arriving the Gros Piton Hiking trail. Gros Piton, a World Heritage site, is one of St. Lucia's most distinguished and recognized landmarks. On arrival you are met by your hiking guide for a briefing and signing waivers before you start your hike. Gros Piton stands majestically between Soufriere and Choiseul. Nestled 700ft up on its southern face is the historically symbolic village of Fond Gens Libre (Valley of the Freed People), one of the two gateways to the Gros Piton Nature Trail. This trail is alive with natural, cultural and historical charm.
There are several caves and lookout points dating back to the days of the Brigands. The trail weaves through three different ecosystems boasting an Eden like array of flora and Fauna, some endemic to the great mountain. Hike through the rain forest, climbing over large boulders and consistently uneven terrain. After your 4hour hike, make your way down the hiking trail for drive to the Ladera Resort and the famous Dasheene Restaurant for a delicious lunch. Take in the views of the Pitons and Jalousie Bay before heading back to the Soufriere dock and return to the ship.

Depart the pier aboard a motorised catamaran or 38-foot (about 11.5-metre) for the short ride along the blue waters of the Caribbean Sea en route to one of the island's Marine Reserves, which include some of the healthiest reefs in the Caribbean. Upon arrival, receive your safety and snorkelling instructions and gear, and begin your snorkelling safari.

Anchored or tied to a mooring, enter the water with your guide directly from the boat, and spend approximately two hours snorkelling in approximately 30 feet-40 feet (about 9.1 metres-12.2 metres) of crystal-clear water. Along the way, marvel at the diverse and colourful coral, tropical fish and marine life. At the conclusion of your snorkelling safari, embark the boat for the short cruise back to the pier.

Depart the Soufriere dock for a short drive through the town of Soufriere to the start of the Sapphire Waterfall - one of Saint Lucia's therapeutic mineral pools and warm falls nestled between botanical gardens and the volcano’s overflow. Upon arrival, receive your safety and tour instructions, and begin your guided, approximately 45-minute hike along the Tet Paul Nature Trail. Along the way, pass by a variety of tropical plants and trees, learn about the rich history and culture of St. Lucia, and stop at various viewpoints for spectacular panoramic vistas of your surrounds and the Caribbean Sea.
Refreshments and Snacks, Petit Piton Viewpoint
Following your guided hike, some time is made available to relax, and enjoy refreshments and snacks. Leaving the Tet Paul Nature Trail, re-board your mini-bus and head to the Petit Piton Viewpoint for a wonderful view of the Piton from a different angle. After your photo stop here, re-board your mini-bus and commence the short drive back to the pier.

Depart the Soufriere dock for drive through the town of Soufriere to the Sulphur Springs Park and the only drive in Volcano in the Caribbean for a visit to the Mud Baths. Rumored to make you feel 10 years younger, spend time in the warm mineral pools, the most visited site on the island.. Depart the Mud Baths for drive to the Diamond Botanical Gardens for guided tour and view of the Diamond waterfall. Your time at the garden continues as you enjoy a dip in one of the warm pools, before departing for the Old Mill Restaurant. The Old Mill, one of the oldest estates in Saint Lucia built in 1765, was used to process sugar cane grown on the estate. On arrival at the Old Mill Restaurant, you will enjoy a refreshment and a selection of freshly made snacks while enjoying views of the water mill which was first used to generate electricity to the town of Soufriere. Depart the estate for drive back to the Soufriere dock and return to ship.

Depart the pier for the short drive through historic Soufrière Town, and up to the Morne Coubaril Estate. Upon arrival, take a guided walking tour of this working plantation. Along the way, pass by a replica of a Caribe village, complete with stick huts similar to those used two centuries ago by local villagers. From here, walk past the surrounding gardens, which offer close-up views of local flora.

Continue on to the grand Estate House, then learn about the process of de-husking a coconut before a tasting of coconut water and jelly. Enjoy a splendid view of the bay from this viewpoint before proceeding to the Cocoa House. Upon arrival, taste a ripe cocoa bean and witness the process of fermentation and bean-drying processes, along with the 'cocoa dance' used to polish the dried beans. The last stop on your walking tour of the estate is at the mule-driven Sugar Cane Mill. Following the tour, walk to the Hotwire Zip Line Adventure Park.
