Visit Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, the world's first and largest koala sanctuary, with over 130 Koalas. Get close to a koala and free roaming kangaroos and wallabies, all in beautiful, natural settings. A special arrangement has been made for you to have a close encounter with a koala and a koala handler. This will allow you to take a photo standing next to one of these amazing animals as well as ask some questions to the friendly and knowledgeable handler. During your stay you may wish to catch some of the other unusual animals such as the platypus, Tasmanian devil, emu, wombat, dingo or echidna.


The tour concludes back at the pier.

Outer Suburbs

At the conclusion of your free time on the Gold Coast, return to the coach at the appointed time, then commence the approximately 1.5-hour drive back to the pier via the freeway and through the outer suburbs of Brisbane.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking, at times over sandy surfaces and minor inclines, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach. Walking at the Gold Coast is at the discretion of each guest. This tour is not suitable for guests prone to motion sickness and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Enjoy a serene kayak tour along the picturesque river, followed by a relaxing coffee and snack of your choice. Your guide will take you either towards the iconic Story Bridge or towards South Bank, where you will have the stunning city high-rises as a backdrop.

Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of paddling and a minimal amount of walking, at times over uneven, sandy and natural ground, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and embark/disembark the kayak. This tour is recommended for guests who are in good physical condition, know how to swim and embark/disembark the kayak without assistance. Enjoy a brief photo stop at Mt Coot-tha after climbing 230 meters above sea level, where you'll be treated to an unequaled panoramic view of Brisbane. From the lookout, take in the stunning contrast between the sleek skyscrapers of the modern city and the charming, picturesque suburban areas that stretch out below.
